One-Day Vaccine Clinic In Silver Spring Opens Tuesday, June 7

A pop-up clinic will offer first dose Pfizer vaccinations at the Enclave Apartments on June 7, from 4 to 8. Second doses will be June 29.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Appointments are still available for a pop-up coronavirus vaccine clinic in Silver Spring on Tuesday, June 8, from 4 to 8 p.m. The county says that walk-ups will also be accepted.

Pfizer vaccines will be administered at the Enclave Apartments in White Oak. Appointments are scheduled in six-minute intervals, with a few slots open per time. The clinic will reopen to administer second doses on June 29.

Just over half of Montgomery County's residents are fully vaccinated. Sixty-three percent have received at least one dose so far.

This clinic is brought by the Kingdom Fellowship Church in Silver Spring, along with Holy Cross Hospital, East County Consolidation Hub (part of the church that collects food and health items for children and families, and seniors recovering from COVID-19), East County Regional Services Center (a service designed to link residents to county resources), Choose Healthy Life (an initiative of the Black Church to address health disparities), United Way of the National Capital Area (an organization that addresses health, education and economic opportunity for underserved people) and the Kingdom Global Community Development Corporation.

Do you know how to register using a QR code? If not, here's step-by-step instructions. This will require a smartphone.

  1. Open your camera app.
  2. Hover your camera over the QR code.
  3. A link should appear at the top of your screen. Click on it.
  4. You should now be on the county's registration portal, where you can pick a time for the clinic. You can complete these steps as you would any other online registration.
