Overturned Auto at New Hampshire Ave. Leaves 1 Injured, Traffic Snarled
Lanes were briefly closed on the Capital Beltway Wednesday afternoon.

One person was transpoted to a local trauma center with serious, non-life-threatening injuries Wednesday afternoon after two vehicles collided on the Capital Beltway in Silver Spring, according to Beth Anne Nesselt, a spokeswoman for Montgomery County Fire and Rescue. Â The victim's age and gender were unknown.
Units were dispatched at 4:13 p.m. to New Hampshire Avenue and I-495 with reports of a two-vehicle collision with one overturned. One person had to extricated from one of the vehicles, Nesselt said.Â
Briefly, some lanes were closed at that portion of the Beltway.Â

Two other people, age and gender unknown, were taken to a local hospital for a check-up, said Nesselt.Â
