Police Investigate 'Suspicious Death' Of Woman Found In Apartment

SILVER SPRING, MD — A woman was found dead in an apartment in Silver Spring Wednesday morning, police said. Police announced Thursday that they are investigating it as a "suspicious death."

The woman was located at an apartment in the 3600 block of Bel Pre Rd. Officers received a call to check the welfare of the occupants of the apartment at about 11:04 a.m.

The woman was found deceased in the apartment with apparent trauma to her body, police said.

Her body was transported to the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in Baltimore, where an autopsy will be conducted to determine the manner and cause of her death.
