Police Need Help Finding Missing Silver Spring Man

SILVER SPRING, MD — Police are asking for the public’s assistance in locating a missing Silver Spring man who was last seen just after midnight Sunday.

Carlos Alberta Umana, 23, was last seen at his home on Winterthur Court in the Cannon Road area of Silver Spring. He had a disagreement with a family member and left home, police said. Police and family are concerned for his emotional and physical welfare.

Umana is described by police as a Hispanic male, 5′11″ and weighs about 300 pounds. He has short black hair and brown eyes. At the time he left, he was wearing blue camouflage shorts. He was without a shirt and footwear, police said.

Umana may be driving a black 2013 Nissan Altima with Maryland tags, 5DB9165.

Anyone with information with regard to the whereabouts of Carlos Umana or the location of the black Nissan Altima is urged to dial 911.
