Police Seek Car Break-In Suspect In Colesville
Police need help identifying a car break-in suspect in Colesville.

COLESVILLE, MD — Police are searching for a man suspected of breaking into cars in the Colesville area.
Montgomery County Police say the break-ins happened in May. The suspect was caught on surveillance video.
The following thefts from vehicles were reported to police and are believed to have been committed by the same suspect:

- May 27: The suspect allegedly broke into a car in the 300 block of Scott Dr. in the overnight hours. Property was stolen from an unlocked vehicle.
- May 28: The suspect allegedly entered a vehicle in the 13700 block of Stoner Dr. at about 3:12 a.m. Home surveillance video captured the suspect entering an unlocked vehicle, police said. No property was taken.
"Thefts from unlocked vehicles continue to be a high-volume crime in Montgomery County," police said in a statement. "The Police Department urges all residents to take a role in preventing this type of crime by removing valuables from vehicles and locking all doors."
Anyone with information regarding this suspect is asked to call the 4th District Patrol Investigations Unit at 240-773-5500. Those who wish to remain anonymous may call Crime Solvers of Montgomery County toll-free at 1-866-411-TIPS (8477). Crime Solvers will pay a cash reward of up to $10,000 for information that leads to an arrest in this case.
