'Pop Up' Programs Coming To Argyle Local Park In Silver Spring
The Pop Up in Montgomery Parks campaign is part of an ongoing effort to attract more residents to their local parks.

SILVER SPRING, MD — In a move to attract more Montgomery County residents to their local parks, Montgomery Parks are bringing free "Pop Up" programming to select parks all winter, including: Movie Night, Cozy Community Day, Rock Wall and the new Pump Track.
"The Pop Up in Montgomery Parks campaign is part of an ongoing 'activate urban parks' initiative that was launched last year, when Casey Anderson became the chair of the Montgomery Planning Board Chair," the Parks website states. "The initiative is intended to help people discover or rediscover their local parks, and is one of Anderson’s top priorities."
Here's a list of upcoming programs taking place in January and February at Argyle Local Park in Silver Spring:

Pump Track - Feb. 16 from 3-5 p.m., Feb. 21 from 3-5 p.m.
The mobile speed ring pump track is great for learning how to ride on a pump track or for fine-tuning your skills. If you don’t have a bike or helmet, check the schedule to see when and where the Play Specialist will be with them.

Rock Wall - Feb. 23 from 3-5 p.m.
