Rock Creek Trail Closed During Rock Creek Bridge Demolition
A portion of Rock Creek Trail will be closed for two weeks, so construction crews can demolish the Rock Creek Bridge.
SILVER SPRING, MD — Starting on or about March 26, part of the Rock Creek Park Trail will be closed to pedestrians and bicyclists, Montgomery County transportation officials said. A portion of the trail will be closed for two weeks, so construction crews can demolish the Rock Creek Bridge.
According to officials, any additional closures will take place between 7 a.m. and 5 p.m. through the month of April. At a later date, crews will build two new bridges to carry the Purple Line light rail and the Capital Crescent Trail over Rock Creek.
