SILVER SPRING, MD — The National Weather Service has issued a hazardous weather outlook, flash flood watch, and a severe thunderstorm watch for parts of Montgomery County through Monday evening.

Forecasters say residents should brace for showers, flooding, and 60 mph wind gusts. They caution residents to be careful in this type of weather.

"Damaging winds will cause some trees and large branches to fall. This could injure those outdoors, as well as damage homes and vehicles," the agency said. "Roadways may become blocked by downed trees. Localized power outages are possible. Unsecured light objects may become projectiles.
