Silver Spring Snow Update: Here's What To Expect
A winter storm makes its way into our area Tuesday night and into Wednesday.

SILVER SPRING, MD — For you snow lovers out there, the good news is that a winter storm is on its way starting Tuesday night. The bad news is that it is a "very weak" one that will result in little accumulation, according to one forecast.
The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang projects that our area will see accumulation between a dusting to two inches. The "boom" scenario (a 20 percent chance) is 2 to 4 inches, and a "bust" scenario (also 20 percent chance) would be just a few flurries. Areas west and north of D.C. could see more snow.
Even with a little bit of snow, the recent cold temperatures means it will stick and could cause hazardous conditions for the morning commute on Wednesday. School delays or even cancellations are possible.

After this storm rolls through, "that is about it for a while" in terms of snow as it's looking like mostly sunny skies in the near future, as well as temperatures warming into the 50s this weekend, CWG says.
