Silver Spring Spot On List Of Essential DC-Area Steakhouses

If you're looking for a great steakhouse in Montgomery County. You have to try this one in Silver Spring, according to a report.

SILVER SPRING, MD — If you're looking for the ultimate steakhouse in Montgomery County, there are plenty of great choices. But one stands above the rest, according to Eater, a food and dining destination site.

On Aug. 14, Eater published a list of "14 Essential D.C. Steakhouses." Most of them — as the title suggests — are in D.C. One steakhouse, however, is located in Montgomery County.

The Silver Spring restaurant that made the cut: Urban Butcher.

The industrial-chic restaurant opened its doors on Georgia Avenue six years ago and has become a mainstay for meat lovers near and far. Urban Butcher, which bills itself as an "alternative steakhouse," boasts a bold menu featuring 60-day, dry-aged steaks and salt-packed tenderloin.

The man who runs the restaurant is chef Raynold Mendizábal. He also owns a cuban eatery on Fenton Street called El Sapo Cuban Social Club.
