Silver Spring Weather: 3 More Chances For Snow Before Monday
More snow may be heading to Silver Spring. Check out how much the National Weather Service is projecting.

SILVER SPRING, MD — Looks like Silver Spring may get more snow in the coming days.
It all starts with a cold front moving in to our region on Wednesday, forecasters say. Wednesday afternoon will be partly sunny, with a high near 38 degrees. In the evening, temperatures will drop to the mid-20s.
According to The National Weather Service, Thursday will be mostly cloudy, with a high near 34 degrees. The chance of snow is 40 percent in the afternoon and 90 percent in the evening. The snow will eventually turn into a wintry mix. Snow and sleet accumulation of one to two inches is possible, forecasters say.

During the day on Friday, temperatures are expected to rise. The forecast calls for partly sunny skies with a high near 44 degrees. Temperatures will drop to about 30 degrees in the evening, according to The National Weather Service.
Arctic high pressure from the north will come through the Mid-Atlantic on Saturday. Daytime temperatures will hover around 40 degrees. According to forecasters, the chance of rain is 50 percent in the day and 100 percent in the night. Nighttime temperatures will be in the mid-30s.

The rain will likely stick around on Sunday. Forecasters say precipitation is likely before 2 p.m. The rain will probably turn into rain/snow. The forecast calls for cloudy skies with a high near 47 degrees. Sunday night will be especially frigid: temperatures will dip to around 13 degrees.
