Snow Could Be Coming Monday In Silver Spring Area: Report

A new report indicates we could have at least a dusting in our area Monday and Tuesday, and that could be an omen for coming winter weather.

SILVER SPRING, MD — We told you about the possibility of getting some snow in early February in the area, but snow has suddenly entered our forecast for the immediate future, according to a report.

The Washington Post's Capital Weather Gang reports that snowflakes could begin falling in our area as early as Sunday evening, although surface temperatures being so high, it will be tough for anything to stick.

However, another disturbance that may work our way into this area on Monday may bring us some light snow by late day to early evening, with snow showers or light snow persisting throughout the night, which means we could get some light accumulation.
