Where To Get Cheapest Gas For Labor Day Weekend In Silver Spring

SILVER SPRING, MD — If you're getting in one last summer trip over Labor Day weekend, perhaps you want to plan ahead and know the more affordable places to fill up your tank. Depending on where you're going, getting gas in the local area could be the better option.

Silver Spring area gas prices averaged $2.936 on Thursday, Aug. 30. Prices dropped slightly from $2.975 last month but are higher than last year's $2.521.

"With Labor Day approaching, motorists could see a small swing towards higher gas prices, but any jump should not last past the holiday weekend," said AAA spokesperson Jeanette Casselano in a statement.
