Where to Go: Free Ice Cream Cone Day

Just when you thought there were no good holidays between New Year's Day and Memorial Day, two ice cream shops throw in Free Ice Cream Cone Day, celebrated on May 14.

To mark the "holiday," select Haagen-Dazs and Ben & Jerry's locations will hand out a free cone to customers Tuesday.

Haagen-Dazs locations in Bethesda and DC will hand out the freebies between 4 p.m. and 8 p.m. Ben & Jerry's, in Silver Spring, Rockville and DC, will participate all day until 8 p.m.
