17-Year-Old To Be Charged With Lawrence Shooting
A 17-year-old Lawrence resident was due to be arraigned Tuesday on murder charges.

LAWRENCE, MA — A 17-year-old Lawrence resident was arrested and will be charged with murder in connection with Friday's fatal Lawrence shooting, officials said Tuesday.
The Lawrence juvenile will be arraigned in Lawrence District Court Tuesday, Essex District Attorney Jonathan Blodgett and Lawrence Police Chief Roy Vasque said.
He is accused of shooting and killing Edward Javier, 25, of Lawrence.

Javier's body was found with multiple gunshot wounds Friday morning in a Lawrence backyard, officials said. He was declared dead on the scene.
On Monday, Francisco Jose Tejada Torres, 22 of Lawrence, was arraigned on an accessory after the fact of murder charge in Lawrence District Court. Torres is accused of driving the getaway car.

Bail for Torres was set at $15,000. He has a probable cause hearing scheduled June 11.
All people are presumed innocent until proven guilty.
