Driver Rescued From Beneath Truck In I-495 Crash
A 68-year-old man was thrown from his truck after a three-vehicle crash that crippled traffic for four hours.

ANDOVER, MA — A 68-year-old Ashland man was pinned under his truck after a three-vehicle crash that crippled traffic on I-495 for hours Monday. The man was airlifted to the hospital with serious injuries, State Police said.
Police said the crash started when the man's 2012 Hino box truck drifted into the right travel lane near the I-94 interchange, striking a 2005 GMC Topkick truck driven by a 70-year-old Fitchburg man. The Hino then swerved left and struck a 2011 Toyota Camry, driven by an 83-year-old Sturbridge woman.
The Hino crossed back across the lanes before rolling off the right side of the road. The Ashland man, who wasn't wearing a seatbelt, was thrown from his vehicle. The Andover Fire Department freed him from under his truck, and he was flown to Boston Medical Center.
