A Better Chance 5K to Honor Bombing Victims
The Andover A Better Chance 5K Fun Run and Walk will honor the victims of the Marathon bombings and pay respect to how the events of the past week have affected all of us.

This coming Sunday Andover's A Better Chance will be holding their 3rd annual 5k Fun-Run and Walk and will use it as an opportunity to not only benefit victims of the Marathon bombings but also give a chance to show our resiliency and run again.
"Whether you were present at the marathon, or elsewhere in Boston, or you watched the events of the week unfold on television or social media,  our technologically connected world has left few community members untouched by the graphic images or the anxiety-producing moments and many are still looking for an opportunity to gather to honor the victims, their families and the running community as well as to celebrate the resilient and generous spirit that Boston has shown the world," read a statement from Andover ABC. Â
The ABC 5K is planned for Sunday, April 28 at 10 a.m., beginning at 134 Main St. In addition, a moment of silence will be held before the start of the event for the victims of the Marathon bombings.Â

"Even if you are not running or walking, please stop by 134 Main Street at 9:45 am on April 28 and join us to pause in reflection and shared presence as we offer a moment of silence to honor all who have been touched by the horrific events of the week."
The Andover ABC will donate a portion of the proceeds from the race to One Fund, which supports the victims of the Boston Marathon bombings.  Race participants are being encouraged to wear yellow and blue ribbons, which will be available before the race.Â
