Add Steak To The Menu Of Downtown Andover Dining Options
The restaurant will be built on the lot that has been vacant since the Andover Bookstore moved last year.
ANDOVER, MA -- Developers plan to demolish the site previously occupied by the Andover Bookstore to make way for a new restaurant specializing in steak. Smythe & Dove Bar & Grille is expected to open with 140 seats in April at 89R Main Street.
"We looked at mill spaces, but we really wanted Main Street. There’s parking and people walking by and that’s what we wanted. It’s a good fit for us," owner Marcus Palmer told the Andover Townsman, which first reported this story. The space has been vacant since the bookstore moved to 74 Main Street in August 2017.
