Andover Choral Society holds open rehearsals
The chorus will prepare to perform pieces by Florence Price and George Gershwin

Andover Choral Society, directed by Michael Driscoll, invites those who enjoy singing choral music to attend open rehearsals from 7:20 p.m.-9:30 p.m. on Monday, February 4 and Monday February 11 at Christ Church, 33 Central Street in Andover. All voice parts are welcome.
On Saturday, May 4, 2019, at 3 p.m. the chorus will perform "Abraham Lincoln Walks at Midnight" by Florence Price. Price was the first African-American woman to be recognized as a symphonic composer and to have a composition played by a major orchestra. The piece is a musical setting of a poem by Vachel Lindsay. The chorus will also perform a medley of songs by George Gershwin.
High school juniors and seniors are invited to sing with the Andover Choral Society through the Society’s Choral Scholars Program. The program is free to students from any town if they are currently in good standing in their high school chorus.
