Andover Choral Society Sings Haydn's "The Creation"
Bringing People Together Through Music!

Andover Choral Society, directed by Dr. Michael Driscoll, will open its 90th season by performing Haydn’s "The Creation" on Sunday, January 26, 2020 at 3:00 p.m. at the West Middle School Auditorium, 70 Shawsheen Road, Andover, MA.
Considered one of Haydn’s most brilliant works, The Creation is an oratorio depicting the creation of the world. Haydn’s text for this jubilant and uplifting work draws from the Book of Genesis, the Book of Psalms, and John Milton’s Paradise Lost to celebrate the creation of the earth, the seas, animals and birds, and humans. Come enjoy Haydn’s enchantingly descriptive orchestral writing, triumphant choruses, and a trio of angels, portrayed by soprano, tenor, and baritone soloists. Andover Choral Society will perform the work in English.
Tickets are $25 for adults in advance ($30 at the door) and $5 for students. A group rate is available. For tickets and information, please visit andoverchoralsociety.org/concerts/. West Middle School Auditorium is handicapped accessible. Off-street parking is available.
