Andover Early- Morning Crash Sunday Closes Road.

ANDOVER, MA -- Police report that an early-morning single-car accident in atea of 8 Greenwood Road took down a telephone pole set the car on fire forcing a road closure due to live wires on the road

At about 2:18 a.m. police received a report of a utility pole and car on fire. When crews arrived they found the car fully engulfed in flames. The Andover Fire Depaetment extinguished the blaze.

The driver had fled the scene, but was found shortly after and transported to Lowell General Hospital.
