Latest Andover forecast: the first nor'easter of the winter is expected to hit Massachusetts Thursday.
ANDOVER, MA — Andover's first nor'easter of the winter will cover the city in 4-9 inches of snow and whip up 50 mph winds, according to latest forecasts. A winter storm watch is in effect for Andover Thursday morning through Friday morning. The snow will be heaviest Thursday afternoon and early in the night.

- A WINTER STORM WATCH...REMAINS IN EFFECT FROM THURSDAY MORNING THROUGH FRIDAY MORNING.
- ACCUMULATIONS...4 TO 9 INCHES OF SNOW.
- TIMING...SNOW IS EXPECTED TO DEVELOP LATE THURSDAY MORNING AND BECOME HEAVY AT TIMES THURSDAY AFTERNOON AND EARLY NIGHT. SNOW WILL TAPER OFF AFTER MIDNIGHT THURSDAY NIGHT.
- IMPACTS...HAZARDOUS DRIVING CONDITIONS DUE TO SNOW COVERED ROADS AND POOR VISIBILITY.
- WINDS...SOUTHWEST 20 TO 30 MPH WITH GUSTS UP TO 50 MPH.
- TEMPERATURES...IN THE LOWER 30S.
- VISIBILITIES...ONE QUARTER MILE OR LESS AT TIMES.
