Despite the limitations inflicted by the Covid-19 pandemic, which began near the end of the Andover Garden Club’s 2019-2020 club year and persisted throughout the 2020-2021 year, the club managed to welcome two new members into the fold.

Membership cochairs Cathy Starr and Donna Rudolph formally introduced Li Huang and Mary Ann Marshall at the club’s annual meeting last month, presenting them each with a rose. The meeting, held in a tent at the Lanam Club, was the first time the club had been able to gather in person since an outdoor tour during fall 2020.

Along with their fellow club members, the two enjoyed a lively presentation and demonstration by Ruth Loiseau, a nationally recognized Master Floral Designer, about flower arranging and decorating the White House for special occasions. The presentation was followed by a buffet lunch.
