Andover High School Offering Coronavirus Vaccine To 16+ Students

Andover students will be able to get the Pfizer vaccine in school beginning Tuesday.

ANDOVER, MA — Andover High School students 16 and older will be able to get vaccinated at school beginning Tuesday, the high school said Wednesday.

The town and district are collaborating with Pelmeds Community Pharmacy to offer the Pfizer vaccine in school.

First dose clinics will be held at the school Tuesday, May 11 and Friday, May 14. The second dose will be administered three weeks later.

Students must be 16 or older and have parental consent to get vaccinated.

Pre-registration is required. Students do not need insurance to get vaccinated, but insurance information will be requested as part of registration, according to the district nursing service.
