ANDOVER, MA — Andover native Justine Silva won the second season of Making It, Wednesday. To win "Making It," the crafting competition show hosted by Amy Poehler and Nick Offerman, Silva had to beat nine other contestants in a series of crafting challenges. The season aired over the last two weeks.

In an interview before her season began airing, Silva told Patch that her career in art and crafting began at Andover High school. Her art teacher Ed Parker told her that while it might seem impossible, she should never feel bad about trying to make a carer out of art. Her victory on Making It just reinforces that Parker was right.
