Andover Offering Rides To Coronavirus Vaccine Appointments
Elder Services is offering rides to Merrimack Valley sites and the Danvers mass vaccination site.
ANDOVER, MA — Andover Elder Services is offering transportation to coronavirus vaccination appointments to eligible residents, the town said.
The town will take residents to the Hilton DoubleTree mass vaccination site in Danvers and to Merrimack Valley vaccination locations, for appointments Monday to Friday, 8 a.m. to 4 p.m.
The town is offering "curb to curb service," meaning, "riders must be independent and require little assistance to the car," the town said.

Massachusetts is making more changes to its much-criticized vaccination rollout, unclogging the appointment process and setting aside four days for only educators to be inoculated, Gov. Charlie Baker said Wednesday.

Baker said the state will launch a pre-registration website for its mass vaccination sites, putting an end to the Thursday-morning rush for appointments that has resulted in a crashed site, ludicrous wait times and mounting frustration. The pre-registration site will go live Friday, meaning this Thursday will be the last time people need to jockey for bookings on vaxfinder.mass.gov.
