Andover Police Bust Two Men in Cell Phone Theft

N.H. man places ad on Craig's List to sell cell phones, instead he gets ripped off.

ANDOVER -- Two men were arrested for unarmed robbery on Tuesday following a brazen theft of cell phones from a local coffee shop and a search by police through downtown Andover, according to the Eagle- Tribune.

Ady Rojas, 35, of Lawrence, was charged with unarmed robbery. Jay Henriquez, 32, also of Lawrence was charged with unarmed robbery and a misdemeanor for breaking and entering.

The victim, an Atkinson, N.H. man placed an ad on Craigslist to sell three iPhones, the newspaper reports.

He agreed to meet a potential buyer at the Starbucks at 14 Main St. In Andover.

Instead two men showed up. They sit down, the victim showed them the phones and one of the men grabs all three iPhones and runs out the front door of the Starbucks.

The victim chased them down Main Street to Post Office Avenue, at which point he ended up losing them and called 911, giving police a description of the men.

A resident on Essex Street called police and said he had just confronted a stranger exiting his building.

One of the men was arrested at the train station on Railroad Street.

Andover and state police arrested the second man in Dundee Park, where he was trying to flee in a taxi.
