Andover Police, Fire Departments Have New Phone Numbers

ANDOVER, MA — If you need to get a hold of the police and fire departments in Andover for a non-emergency, there are some new digits you'll have to dial first.

On Thursday evening, Andover Public Safety switched over to a new phone system. The changeover was part of an upgrade that brought with it new phone numbers.

For the Andover Police Department, the new business phone number is 978-623-3500. To reach the Andover Fire Department's non-emergency line, you'll have to call 978-623-3700.

All town employees have new extensions as well.

For anyone who still tries to use the old phone numbers, their calls will be forwarded to the new system but only temporarily, according to town officials.

People with true emergencies can still dial 911 for assistance.
