Andover Police Mark The End of An Era

Lt. John Pathiakis retires this week after 36 years on the force.

ANDOVER, MA -- in 1981, Ronald Regan was president, Lady Diana married Prince Charles, and Officer John Pathiakis joined the Andover Police Department.

Many of those top stories have changed over the years, but Pathiakis has steadfastly remained on the Andover Police force, rising through the ranks to become lieutenant.

But after 36 years, the police department this week marked the end of an era with Pathiakis' retirement.

Pathiakis served as training and traffic supervisor, support operations supervisor, support services lieutenant, and patrol shift commander.
