The Massachusetts Department of Environmental Protection prepared a Source Water Assessment Report (SWAP) for water supplies serving Andover. "The purpose of the assessment was to determine the susceptibility of drinking water sources to potential contaminant sources (PCS) so that we can focus protection efforts," the report states.
Andover's drinking water supply comes from Haggetts Pond and more than 1,400 acres of watershed area. The results of the assessment are available online in the SWAP report here.
