Andover Youth Center Grand Opening Delayed Until June

The grand opening of the new Cormier Youth Center in Andover has been delayed until June 18. Andover Youth Services Director Bill Fahey said the grand opening would instead coincide with the end of the school year and the start of summer vacation for students, according to the Andover Townsman.

The grand opening celebration will include music, dancing, games, building dedication, and an acknowledgement of donors.

The Cormier Youth Center was slated to open last weekend on May 14, but there are still some kitchen appliances that need to be installed and other minor work, which ultimately pushed the opening date back a month.

The new Cormier Youth Center is located off Whittier Street, behind Doherty Middle School.
