Andover's Calamity, Characters and Conservation at Foster's Pond

ANDOVER -- Andover Historical Society's Neighborhood Programs feature three to four speakers, each telling a fun and engaging 15-minute story about a particular part of town.

Our April program is called "Calamity, Characters and Conservation on Foster's Pond."

It is scheduled for 1 p.m. on April 9.

It focuses on the area surrounding Foster’s Pond and the pond itself.

Learn more about Bessie Goldsmith, a unique and colorful resident and her family who loved the pond and lands surrounding it.

Hear Stephen Cotton, President of the Foster’s Pond Corporation, discuss the history of the pond and the organization that has preserved and protected it since 1939.

The Andover Historical Society’s mission is to “share the stories of Andover and its residents.”
