Annual Audubon Nature Festival To Be Held June 5
The event will be held at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary in Topsfield.
The Massachusetts Audubon Society is hosting its 19th annual Audubon Nature Festival on Sunday, June 5 from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m. at the Ipswich River Wildlife Sanctuary at 87 Perkins Row in Topsfield. The price of admission is $15 per car.
Marcia and Mark Wilson of Eyes On Owls will be on hand to give a live demonstration featuring live birds of prey. There will also be an insect zoo, naturalist guided walks, pond exploration, a native reptiles and amphibians exhibit, guided tours of butterfly and bird habitat gardens, exhibits and activities on solar power, sustainability, and green living, as well as live music all day. Gardening experts will also be available to answer questions about planting to attract birds and butterflies.
There will also be many activities for children at the festival such as games, face-painting and Henna, and Captain Dusty’s ice cream will be available.
