Body Found In Merrimack River Identified As Missing Lowell Man

Andover Fire recovered the body Saturday of Moses Harris, 25, of Lowell.

LOWELL, MA — The body found in the Merrimack River Saturday was identified as a Lowell man last seen in Dec., the Essex County District Attorney's Office said Thursday.

The medical examiner identified the body as Moses Harris, 25, of Lowell.

Harris was last seen Dec. 19. Police said he jumped into the Concord River after officers attempted to arrest him on domestic battery and vandalism charges, as reported by the Boston Globe.

Harris's family petitioned and held a rally demanding that the police release more information about the incident and heighten their search.

A dog-walker spotted Harris's body around 15 yards from shore Saturday. Andover Fire Rescue recovered the body by boat.
