Candlelight Vigil Walk to Support Marathon Bombing Victims

A group of Andover residents is planning a candlelight walk in support of the victims and families from the Marathon bombings.

Andover is showing their support for the victims and families from the Marathon bombings with a Candlelight Vigil Walk on the evening of May 1. 

The night was planned for the victims, families and first responders involved in the Marathon bombings last week. 

The night will begin with remarks from former selectman Ted Teichert and will continue with the recognition of first responders, a blessing, songs and the lighting of the candles.

There will also be additional guest speakers and bag pipes concluding the ceremony. 

The ceremony is scheduled for Wednesday, May 1, from 6:45 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. at the Park, located at the corner of Bartlet Street and Chestnut Street.
