Drug Bust and Unwelcome Neighbor

The following are excerpts from the Andover Police log. The log is open to the public.

Wednesday, Jan. 22

At 5:02 a.m., a 911 caller from Lawrence reported a domestic disturbance on that city's Andover Street and said they saw a man drag a woman into a car.

At 10:36 a.m., Lowell Police requested a K-9 unit to search for a breaking-and-entering suspect.

At 12:51 p.m., a caller from the Health Department reported 4 youths hanging out in Central Park and said one of them threw an ice ball at a vehicle.

At 2:31 p.m., an employee of a store on Lowell Street reported a customer behaving suspiciously. Police went to the store and charged three people with drug charges. Daniel McCarthy, 24, of 8 Brand Ave., Wilmington, was charged with possession of a class A substance, possession of a class B substance and giving false information during booking. Annmarie Gerry, 25, of 36 Evergreen Road, Stoneham was charged with possession of a class A substance. Larissa Lyman, 29, of 30 Lowell St. Apt. 2, Wilmington, was charged with possession of a class A substance.

At 7:36 a.m., a caller on Elm Street reported having a problem with a neighbor who enters her apartment and throws things around.
