Lost Dog That Fled After Car Crash is Doing Well, Owner Says
Calypso, a 5-year-old pit bull, went missing after jumping out of a car window after a rollover crash on last Thursday.

A dog that jumped from a crashed car last Thursday has been found safe and sound, its owner says.
Victoria Castle, of Haverhill, said her 5-year-old pit bull, Calypso, was neither injured nor shaken up from the rollover car accident on I-495.
Castle realized her dog ran off immediately after the crash. Authorities conducted multiple searches for Calypso in the area.

After a reported sighting on Saturday, Castle said Calypso approached her father. She was assisted in the search by State Police Sgt. Mark Lombardi and Trooper Sean Kelley.

Reports said the dog was ejected from the car, but Castle believes Calypso jumped out of the window.
Castle said the only injury was a “tiny little cut on the back of her leg from jumping out the window.”
Assisting in Calypso’s search was Granite State Dog Recovery, a nonprofit that reunites lost pets with their owners.
The organization made a flyer that was posted on its website. “From their flyer, a lot of people in the area helped get the word out about Calypso being missing,” Castle said.
