Andover Crash Victim Identified As Malden Man

Three vehicles including a tractor-trailer were involved in the crash late Monday night.

ANDOVER, MA — Officials identified the man killed in the Monday night Interstate 495 crash as Christopher Rigano, 40 of Malden.

The crash involved three vehicles including a tractor-trailer on Interstate 495 Southbound in Andover, officials said.

Rigano was driving a 2014 Chevrolet Corvette southbound around 11:20 p.m. Monday when he lost control, hit another vehicle and then went under the trailer portion of a tractor-trailer, officials believe.

He was declared dead at the scene.

The other vehicles involved were a 2005 Honda Accord driven bya. 41-year-old Spencer man and a 2005 Western Star truck driven by a 43-year-old North Dakota man.

Neither of the other drivers was injured.

The cause of Rigano losing control is still under investigation by state police.
