ANDOVER, MA —Andover's Golden Warriors rolled over Merrimack Valley Conference rivals Metheun, 40-12, in the first round of the MIAA football North Division 1 tournament Saturday. That sets them up to face the second seed St. John's Prep Friday night, away in Danvers. The third-seed Warriors have now won four in a row, with the run beginning with another win against Metheun last month.

Senior Josh Ramos continued a great season for the third seed Warriors, rushing 182 yards for 4 touchdowns. The Warriors scored 40 points in the first half before Metheun managed to put up 12 in the second.

Friday's game is at 7 p.m. at 72 Spring St, Danvers, MA 01923. St. John's livestreams their games, in case you are unable to make it over to Danvers.
