MinuteClinic Opens at Andover CVS
The new MinuteClinic at CVS can handle a whole range of ailments at short notice.

The new MinuteClinic in Andover offers area residents a walk-in medical clinic that treats acute illnesses every day of the week.Â
The clinic is designed to treat the sore throats, sinus infections or ear problems that can't wait.Â
"When you're sick you really don't want to wait a few days for your doctor," said clinic practice manager Rene White.Â

"They can come here with no appointment, walk in and we will send their doctor a note saying everything we did," said White.
White continued to say that the MinuteClinic is not designed to replace the current practices in Andover, just fill in when they are needed.Â

"We like to work with their providers. We are not trying to take away any business. We are really trying to adjunct"
No appointments are required at the MinuteClinic, which takes most major and some regional medical insurance companies.
For patients paying cash or credit, treatment prices are posted at each medical center and on www.minuteclinic.com. The cost for most treatment starts at $79.Â

MinuteClinic practitioners use a software program that at the conclusion of each visit generates educational material, an invoice and a prescription (when clinically appropriate) for the patient, as well as a diagnostic record that can be sent via electronic health record, fax or mail to a primary care provider with patient permission.

The MinuteClinic walk-in medical clinic in Andover will operate from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m., Monday through Friday; 9 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Saturday; and 10 a.m. to 5:30 p.m. on Sunday.
