Nearly Half Of North Andover At Least Partially Vaccinated

Well over a quarter of North Andover residents are fully vaccinated, according to the latest state data.

NORTH ANDOVER, MA — Nearly half of the town's residents have received at least one coronavirus vaccination shot, a major milestone in the local fight against the virus.

Thirty percent of North Andover residents have been fully vaccinated and 47 percent have been at least partially vaccinated as of Thursday's numbers from the Department of Public Health. That means 14,190 residents have received either one Moderna or Pfizer dose or the single-shot Johnson & Johnson dose (the latter of which is currently under a pause.)

Over three-quarters of those over the age of 64 been fully vaccinated.

The state data also breaks down vaccinations by race. In North Andover, 30 percent of white residents are fully vaccinated, versus 26 percent of multi-racial residents, 21 percent of Black residents, 14 percent of Asian residents and just 11 percent of Hispanic residents.
