Howard M. Proctor, 93, of North Andover and formerly of Port Charlotte, FL., passed away on Tuesday, March 24, 2015. Howard was born in Lowell, MA. to the late Frank and Helen Proctor.

Howard graduated from Punchard High School in Andover, where he was captain of the baseball team; and proudly served in the U. S. Army during WW II. He then spent his entire career with the New England Telephone Company, where he met his future wife, Mary.

During his spare time, Howard loved to play golf and was a member of Andover Country Club. He was an avid Boston sports fan and enjoyed playing cribbage and 45’s.

Howard was the beloved husband of the late Mary Proctor and will be sadly missed by his daughters, Joan Proctor of North Andover and Plymouth, MA. and Nancy Allbee and her husband Ken of Methuen, MA; his grandchildren, Michael Allbee and his wife Kelly of Lake Mary, FL, Kristen Allbee and her husband, Jay Doherty, of Methuen, MA, and his great-grandchildren, Thomas and Jordyn Allbee, also of Lake Mary, FL. Survivor also include his sister, Priscilla Hixson of Prescott, AZ, as well as numerous nieces and nephews.

Relatives and friends are kindly invited to attend his Graveside Service with Military Honors on Saturday, March 28th at 12 Noon in the West Parish Garden Cemetery in Andover. Calling Hours will be held on Saturday prior to his service from 10 to 11:30 in the Conte Funeral Home, 17 Third Street, North Andover.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to a charity of choice.
