Obituary: Jason Israel Andrews, Dedicated English Teacher
Taught atTewksbury Middle School for 35 years, and was a substitute teacher in the Andover School System for 20 years after retirement.

Jason Israel Andrews, 83, of Andover, passed away from cancer on April 1, 2015 at the Kaplan Family Hospice House in Danvers.
Mr. Andrews was born in Boston on February 13, 1932 and received his undergraduate degree from Harvard University. He later went on to earn a Masters Degree in Education from Boston State College. Mr. Andrews proudly served in the Army and was honorably discharged in 1956.

He was a dedicated English teacher at The Tewksbury Middle School for 35 years, and after retirement worked for 20 years as a substitute teacher in the Andover School System.
He loved gardening, hiking, walking, biking, reading, classical music, mountain climbing, and spending time with his family.

He is survived by his beloved wife of 55 years, Phyllis of Andover; children, Susan Kanoff and husband Richard of Methuen, MA, Pamela Andrews of Newton, MA, William Andrews and his wife Julie Mussafer- Andrews of Weston, MA, grandchildren Alyssa Kevlahan and her husband Sean of North Reading, Neal Laurenza of Methuen and Ella and Emilie Andrews of Weston.
