Obituary: Joan A. (Heagney) Gauvin, Disney World Was a Special Place For Her and Her Family

Had been employed as a Senior Manager with the B.J. Wholesale Company at its Danvers offices until the time of her retirement.

Joan A. (Heagney) Gauvin, 67, of Andover, formerly of Salem beloved wife of William A. Gauvin, died June 18th, 2015 at Spaulding Hospital North Shore in Salem.

Born in Salem, she was the daughter of the late John and Helen (Callahan) Heagney. She was raised and educated in Salem and was a graduate of St. James Grammar School in Salem and Bishop Fenwick High School in Peabody.

Mrs. Gauvin had been employed as a Senior Manager with the B.J. Wholesale Company at its Danvers offices until the time of her retirement. She previously had been employed for many years with the Child World Store in Danvers.

A longtime resident of the City of Salem, Joan was a truly dedicated wife and mother. She loved spending time with her family on any occasions. She relished the trips she was able to take with her family. She traveled on many cruises and also had an affinity for Disney World. On her trips to Disney World with her son when he was young they made many fond memories together which she often recalled. Those memories lasted her lifetime, thus Disney World was truly a special place for her and her family. She will be deeply missed.

Joan is survived by her beloved husband of 44 years, William A. Gauvin of Andover and her devoted son William J. Gauvin of Worcester.
