Obituary: John R. "Jack" Ball III; Welder by Trade, Worked For Hodge Boiler Works For More Than 30 Years

Enjoyed building cars, woodworking and going fishing at his lake house in New Hampshire.

John R. “Jack” Ball, III, a longtime resident of Andover and beloved husband of Janyce R. (Piercy) Ball, passed away suddenly at the Frisbie Memorial Hospital in Rochester, New Hampshire, on Monday afternoon, May 11, 2015. He was 70 years old.

Born in Lawrence, Massachusetts, on February 5, 1945, he was the beloved son of the late John R. and Mary (Lamont) Ball. Jack was a welder by trade and had worked for Hodge Boiler Works for more than 30 years. In his spare time, Mr. Ball enjoyed building cars, woodworking and going fishing at his lake house in New Hampshire, especially with his loving grandchildren. He will be dearly missed by his loving family and many friends.

Besides his beloved wife Janyce, he is survived by his loving children; David M. Ball of Andover, Kevin A. Ball of North Andover, Cynthia M. and her husband Len Paolillo of Belmont and Mickey W. and his wife Traci L. Connor of Andover, niece; Becky Meehan of Haverhill and grandchildren; Ashley, Anthony, Matthew, Joseph, Katrina and Dane. He was also the devoted brother of the late Priscilla Reeves and uncle of the late Danny Reeves.
