Obituary: Mildred A. (Andruss) Souza, Executive Secretary

Mildred A. (Andruss) Souza 93, of Wilmington formerly of Andover, died Monday at Woodbriar Heath Center in Wilmington.

Mildred was born in Everett Massachusetts on February 7,1922 to the late Clifford and Mildred (Laufer) Andruss.

She was a graduate of Wakefield High School and worked in her professional career as an executive secretary at various Boston banks, the Monsanto Company and most recently at Hanscom Air Force Base from where she retired. Mildred also offer her secretarial skills for the Red Cross of Andover.

The widow of the late Manuel J. Souza, Mildred is survived by her sons Mark Souza and his wife Jennifer of Reading and David Souza and his wife Diane of Woburn. Also among her survivors are her brothers Edward L. Andruss of North Andover and James Andruss of New Hampshire as well as her eleven grandchildren and nine great grandchildren.

A memorial service will be offered on Sunday at 4 PM at the Conte Funeral Home 28 Florence St. Andover. Calling hours will begin following the service until 8 PM.
