Power Restored For Most Of Andover After High Winds

Power was restored to almost 1,000 Andover residents after a major outage Tuesday morning.

ANDOVER, MA — Over 200 remain without power in Andover after power was restored to nearly 1,000 customers Tuesday.

There are were a dozen outages throughout the town Tuesday morning, including one on either side of Interstate 495 around Beacon Street that affected 1,393 customers in Andover and Lawrence. That outage, which began at 8:30 a.m., has been repaired, as of 12:30 p.m., according to the National Grid outage map.

As of 12:30 a.m., 224 Andover customers are without power, according to the Massachusetts Emergency Management Agency. Many of the outages affect a handful of households and may not be restored until Wednesday, according to the National Grid estimates.
