Police Discover Illegal Night Club, Hookah Bar In Lawrence
Over 100 people were at the illegal club, which featured a full bar, police said.
LAWRENCE, MA — Lawrence police discovered an "illegal night club" with a full bar, a server and hookahs, the department said Tuesday.
Police responded to a report of loud music around Springfield and Foster Streets and saw people heading toward a Springfield Street address. On investigation, they found around 100 people at the residence.
The "night club" represented a city ordinance violation, police said. The fire department was also called to the scene because charcoal hookahs and external propane heaters were both in use in the residence.
