This was submitted as an annoncement on Andover Patch.

This past Wednesday, June 5th, St. Augustine School hosted a ceremonial groundbreaking of its Centennial Gymnasium.

Rev. Peter G. Gori of St. Augustine Parish presided over a groundbreaking ceremony alongside the faculty and students of St. Augustine School, to kick-off the initial phase of the Centennial Gymnasium construction and school expansion.

To memorialize this milestone event, each student from the school will move one tablespoon of dirt/sand—each tablespoon of which will be kept in a container and showcased within the final gymnasium, once construction is complete.

Initial phases this Summer will focus on overall site preparation (removal of trees, fences, etc.), repairs, electrical trenching and the install/paving of a new parking lot.
