Temple Emanuel Hosts 25th Pulpit Exchange With South Church

ANDOVER, MA — Rabbi Robert Goldstein and Reverend Dana Allen Walsh celebrated the 25th Pulpit Exchange Friday, a Temple Emanuel spokeswoman said. It was Goldstein's last pulpit exchange, ahead of his retirement this summer. He started the event 27 years ago.

Over 150 people attended the exchange, according to Temple Emanuel Marketing Director Jaimie Adler. Walsh spoke, and music was provided by the South Church Choir and Temple Emanuel's Soul Sisters, Cantor Idan Irelander and Soloist Gitit Shoval. The Temple hosted South Church congregants for a traditional Shabbat dinner following the service, according to the Temple's bulletin.

Goldstein announced his retirement in Jan. 2019, and will retire at the end of June. He has been with Temple Emanuel for three decades.
